A NOTE TO YOU FROM ME.
From a very small age, I was a reader. I loved books of all kinds, but mostly the ones where the queen was full of goodness, beat the bad guys and lived happily ever after. And it's funny, because now as an adult, the books I read are full of chaos, battles, hard love, and scary situations. I like stories that are raw and real and leave me wanting more than a typical ending. More like life.
Life stories are often harder to read, but I have learned a lot by reading, having a family, being a mother, a sister, and a friend, and working at making each new chapter in life an adventure in learning something new. I chose this leadership and education path because it is empowering to help others lead well. It is awe inspiring to see others learn and succeed. And seeing people remake their lives into something better is what life is all about. I want to take my communications degree, my teaching and leadership certification, my library experience, my passion for books, and my goals for good leaders and put them into the world to help others. I want to help make it all happen.
